Join Bushbaby Tours and Transfers for a meaningful visit to the Down to the Wire workshop, a conservation-driven initiative that fights illegal poaching through creative enterprise. This eye-opening experience begins with an introduction to the devastating impact of snaring in the Hoedspruit area, where you will see the very traps removed from the bush by anti-poaching units. You are then invited into the creative process to handcraft your own unique bangle or ring using recycled snare wire, copper, or silver. Guided by passionate local makers, you will learn to bend and hammer these destructive materials into a symbol of life and survival. This workshop is suitable for all ages and offers a powerful way to wear the story of conservation, knowing that your participation helps fund vital veterinarian fees for animals like rhino, lion, and cheetah injured in the wild. This 2-hour experience provides a deep connection to the local conservation community and concludes with a safe transfer back to your overnight accommodation.
